Red Hot in the City

I love this photo of my agent Angela Campagnoni (check out her website 'Angela in Haliland' here), rocking her little red dress, discretely supervising her girls on the runway.

This was during "red hot in the city" last year, a fashion event supporting the heart and stroke foundation. Well it's that time again!! I'm super excited for all the backstage and on stage fun tonight has in store.

I'm also excited to model for the super talented, original, hardworking, charismatic, hilarious, Veronica MacIsaac again (Above, struttin her stuff in one of her own pieces. Photo by Brent McCombs - Alter Ego Photography). I have several times before and she'll always be one of my favorite local designers.

The "grand" introduction

This blog thing has been driving me crazy. I spent far too long creating new deadlines for myself being over critical of templates, fonts, backgrounds, content, a grand introduction……. Until today I realized I was doing exactly what I promised myself I wouldn’t do – turning my passions into something I can’t enjoy. Soooo I wiped everything clean, went real simple and decided I would keep this whole thing extra casual and laid back. It’s been important for me to create this blog. It gives me the opportunity to share and expand some of the things I love and love to do - to a filtered audience of people who actually care (why be here if you don’t, right?).

No more wrecking my brain over all the proper words to use to describe my motivation for this, or what you can expect to see… The words will come to me. Essentially, all you need to know is 3 things;  I love to make old things new, I’m still learning about this blogging thing (web design is no joke :/), and that your support by coming to read means more than you know!
